5th Marines Regimental Headquarters Camp Margarita within Camp Pendleton California 1987

May, 2001 - I'll be doing some updating on this page once I have my film developed from our April vacation to California.  The 5th Marines have moved from Camp Margarita to Camp San Mateo and I have pictures of their new home.

5th Marine Regiment Memorial Grove at the entrance road to Camp Margarita. Dedicated in 1985.

This is the plaque that is front of the Memorial Grove. 1987

When I was at 5th Marine HQ I went to the 2/5 and Hotel areas and discovered that 2/5 had just shipped out to Okinawa for exercises two days before.  Bummer!
