These pics are from 1987 when I did a two week IRR trip to California.   We started at Camp Pendleton, where we were attached to the 1st Marine Regiment of the 1st Marine Division. They were based at Camp Horno. With the 1st Marines, we went to the Navy SEAL base in Coronado Ca. for a week of SEAL training. From there, we boarded the USS Belleau Wood (LHA - 3).  While out to sea on the BW,  we did helicopter assaults and beach landings on Camp Pendleton.
